Abdul

It was not a coincidence that I met Abdul that day. Our paths only cross briefly as he was just passing through our country and has already gone back to his home country.

Abdul was clearly religious, donning a large beard and prayer cap. He was really friendly and spoke excellent
English.

Somehow the conversation turned to spiritual matters and I asked him if he knew what Christians believe. Crazy enough he said he knew some because a friend in his home country had become a Christian. Now his home country is 98.8 percent Muslim with some local believers and churches and missionaries.

But even though this man, statistically speaking, had such little access to the hear the gospel, seeds had already been planted in his heart by a friend coming to know Jesus! And now here I was, another Christian, having a conversation with him in a country that is also 98 percent Muslim. I explained how I didn’t think it was a coincidence and that I thought God was trying to get his attention.

Sometimes we don’t know the impact of one meeting or conversation with a stranger, but I believe God puts people in our lives for a reason.

Then I shared the message of the gospel with him and he listened with intrigue. After a good conversation on the topic, we exchanged contact information and just like that he was gone. Sometimes we don’t know the impact of one meeting or conversation with a stranger, but I believe God puts people in our lives for a reason. Pray that the seed planted in Abdul’s heart would be continued to be watered and grow.

Every believer is called to go

Whether to your neighbor across the street or to the nations across the world. At Live Dead, we exist to take the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard in the countries that have limited to no access to this good news. We seek to mobilize advocates, both individuals and churches, to pray, speak, give, and go for the sake of unreached people groups. How will you join us in this work?
