Missions matters because everyone deserves to hear the good news. Being in Central Eurasia and being surrounded by 98% Muslims made my spirit leap. All I wanted to do was to tell them Jesus loves them and He has a plan for their lives, even if they weren’t receptive.

While along the Silk Road, we came in contact with a lot of different people groups. Just on the border of two nations, we stopped in a small mountainous town and did a prayer walk. As we began to walk, we found two women who were very interested in getting to know who we were and why we seemed to be so kind and open. Soon after, they invited us to their cafe for coffee and confirmed to us that they weren’t fasting for Ramadan so it was okay to come.

When we got to the cafe, there were two other older women making tea and coffee for us. We soon began to ask about their beliefs and why they did not obey any of the pillars of Islam. One of the women said she used to be an orthodox Christian but when she met her husband she converted to Islam for him. Another mentioned it was just their culture and it was all she knew. Another agreed with the previous statement and said she had never heard the gospel before. We then had the opportunity to share it with them.

Afterward they were so open to learning more about this Jesus we spoke of, so we gave them bibles. Their joy was so contagious that it set my heart more on fire for Jesus.

The God of the Universe has a plan for their lives.

He orchestrated four girls prayer walking through a town to speak the words of Jesus into their dry bones. Hearing them say, “This is the best gift I have ever gotten,” brought tears to my eyes.

God is moving in Central Eurasia, people are getting saved and lives are being forever changed.
