Merciful Love

Frankie attends University where he studies Church Leadership. His hopes are to one day become an AG Pastor that works alongside AG Missions. His goal is to raise the awareness of the deep need for workers overseas. Frankie enjoys getting to know people and how they tick.
During my time in Central Eurasia, God showed me that more workers have to go out into the hard places. The harvest is plentiful, but there needs to be more laborers. Walking through one of the large cities made me sad at times, because I wanted everyone to know about the true love of God. In Islam, followers do good deeds to get closer to Allah, but in Christianity God draws near to us. My most memorable moment was hearing the call to prayer for the first time. I’ve heard it countless times at home on video clips when I researched Islam, but actually hearing it live really struck me.
I was able to go to another beautiful country in Central Eurasia, one that many people don’t even know about. While we were there, my team got to teach English to students at a summer English camp. They loved that young people were coming to teach them a new language. During the last couple of days of the camp, we taught about American holidays. This included Christmas and Easter. Most of students have never heard of these holidays before and the stories behind them. The ones that did hear the stories in the past heard corrupted versions of them. I’ll never forget when we put up a picture of Jesus being crucified on the screen. There were many gasps in the room because it was new to the students. We then had the opportunity to break up into small groups and discuss Jesus more. I was so amazed because the classroom consisted of mostly Muslims. God is so good and I know that learning about Jesus affected their lives.
The Father wants people to turn back to Him. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. I want to start praying more for the Muslims around the world.
They deserve to know the truth about God just as much as me.
By praying for these unreached people groups, I can feel God’s love for the lost even more. I will now emphasize praying for the lost in my abiding time and throughout each day because that is what God desires from me.
