Have you heard the expression “Boots on the Ground?” Well our Live Dead Missionaries are the boots on the Silk Road. Here we’d like to take a moment and allow one of them to share a snapshot of their life with you. Some names and details have been changed, but this is a true story from this colorful, vibrant, and sometimes surprising region.

dancinginmoonlightI live in a big city in Central Eurasia. A REALLY big city. You could drive for hours and hours and see nothing but man made streets and buildings. It can be overwhelming at times.

For me, growing up with mountains and hundreds of miles of pure wilderness, sometimes it has been hard to find the beauty amidst the concrete and brick. I catch myself missing creation.

It is often in these times however, that I remember why I am here. As much as I love mountains and trees, the greatest and most beautiful creation are God’s people.

After all, we were created in His image. He loves us.

I know that more than I miss the green, He misses His children who don’t know Him. He longs for them to know Him, love Him, and rejoice in Him.

There is so much rejoicing waiting just around the corner as this area of the world gets to hear about their Father’s love for them! I get to be a part of it, and that is more beautiful than any other created thing!

Genesis 1:27 “So God made man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
