Darya … Sea

Take a prayer walk with us through nine cities of Iran. We will highlight for you the physical dynamic of water and its correlated spiritual meaning. We look to the Source of living water to fill the thirsty hearts of Iranians this Nowruz season!

Darya

The borders of much of Iran lie in the depths of the daryaha, or seas. Various communities dot the coastlands which stretch for miles. The community of Bandar Abbas is one and lies on the Persian Gulf coast as a port town. The sea has long been a medium of trade for the region of Bandar Abbas. Many different spiritual ideologies have stepped onto the coast from afar. As drinking salt water is harmful physically, “drinking in” false ideologies instead of the living water of Jesus is harmful. We pray for the fresh living water of the King of all kings, Jesus, to be freely disbursed to the people of Bandar Abbas.

Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; in the coastlands of the sea, give glory to the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. (Isaiah 24:15)

“Jesus, You are not a false hope of life as all others are. You are the LIVING water, you are the fresh, timely rescue for the people of Bandar Abbas and all of Iran. Jesus, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in Iran, on earth as it is in heaven. Let Your Church of Iran know the difference of salt water (false teaching) and the fresh living water of Jesus. Only You provide life.”
