From a team leader:
On his 29th day in prison the government refuses to release Q despite having accommodations all arranged by the UN. Please pray for Q’s strength, his family and his release.

The Apostle Paul, imprisoned in Rome, called himself “a prisoner for the Lord.” We can understand he was imprisoned because of his faith and testimony in Jesus.

However, in what was probably Paul’s last letter, he wrote, “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God…” (2 Tim. 1:8).

“HIS prisoner?” Not Rome’s prisoner or the Jews’ prisoner, but Jesus’ prisoner? Was Jesus the source of his imprisonment? Yes. We serve Jesus at His pleasure, whether walking the street or sitting in prison. Ultimately our life brings glory to Him, and He knows the best place and way for that to happen—maybe even in prison. Paul invited Timothy to “share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.”

Q has the privilege of identifying with Paul, Timothy, Peter and Jesus himself in suffering for the gospel. Q’s heart is to glorify Jesus to the fullest possible.

Please pray that his faith is strong and that his testimony rings crystal clear to his captors.
