Pleaded for help

A team leader:
As we previously shared with you, the door to the country we’ve lived in has closed to us. The last known foreign worker (who was from an Asian country) has been expelled from there. Our underground churches there continue to be harassed and are now being openly persecuted.

I spoke with a national brother; he pleaded for help, hoping I could do something. My heart broke as I prayed with him and asked the only One who could help him to provide, bless, protect, and encourage our brothers and sisters there.

We know the Lord works through struggle and persecution—but knowing the sweet souls that are enduring through it weighs heavily on our hearts. Will you pray for the precious friends who remain behind and are suffering for the name of Jesus?

“We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen…” II Cor 4:8-10 NLT
