Moments
Unforgettable moments can come unexpectedly any day. Today was one of those days. We stopped by “Stephanie’s” house to bring food and greet her family. Her family wasn’t there but we visited with Stephanie. We chatted about everything from school to cooking and to how much we love Jesus. Then it happened–one of those moments I hope I never forget. Stephanie looked at us and said, “I love all of your friends and your family. They all love Jesus and they teach me about Him. When I look at you, I see the Word of God. I see Jesus.” Wow. It is so rare to hear words like that in this context–we were both choking back tears. That’s what we came here to be and what we came here to do. It would be easy to let such a moment get swept away in the busyness of life. Instead, I was challenged to seize that moment and to spend enough time thanking Him for letting us be a part of working in His harvest! In that moment of rejoicing, I was also challenged to soberly see how MANY more have not yet heard. Would you join us today in thanksgiving for what is, then pray for what is yet to come?
