I just want to know the Truth, why won’t God show me?

In a meeting with “Nina” where we studied the Word, she became frustrated again. “I just want to know the Truth. Why won’t God show me?” We talked about the desire for God in the heart of every person and how He’s growing that desire in her. We discussed what it would be like if she became a follower of Jesus. She would face rejection by family and friends and inevitable persecution.

She’s used to rejection already and the many questions and accusations from her community. “Why do you hang with the white people all the time? Do you want to become a Christian?” But she’s strong and persistent in her pursuit of Truth. We read the story of the persistent widow together to encourage her to keep seeking and asking God to reveal His ways.

We believe Nina is coming to Jesus. We believe that when she does, she will be unshakable in her love for Him. We believe that she will change the world around her and lead many to Him. We believe that her wrestling for Truth is only deepening her roots and making her like a strong tree planted beside the water, that yields fruits in good times and bad. We believe prayer has power. Will you pray with us and share this?

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
Whose confidence is in Him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
That sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
It’s leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
And never fails to bear fruit.
