Forgiving their captors
Team member:
Our friends who had been kidnapped were finally released. We heard them describe life during those two years of captivity.
They all looked well. They were not mistreated by their captors but life was very primitive and food was in short supply. The only woman in the group had lost a lot of weight. But she was not only happy, she was full of forgiveness and harbored no ill feelings against her captors. She even expressed a willingness to go back some day to continue her work among them.
What a great God we serve! What an amazing work He has done in her heart! May the Lord fill us with that same willingness to forgive and forget when people offend or mistreat us.
