A Live Dead team member described a Christmas celebration in her technical writing class.
After giving them cookies, chocolates and soda, I wrote these words on the left side of the board: traditions, Christmas tree, St Nick, gift giving and treasured memories. After explaining the secular traditions, I told them the real reason for the celebration was the birth of Jesus.

I wrote prophecy, angel, census, decree and manger on the right side of the board and made sure they knew what all the words meant. All eyes were on me as I began with the prophecies and then the angel coming to Mariam (their name for Mary).

A room full of laughter became “pin-drop” quiet. When I finished, they thanked me and several stayed to talk. To be able to share with them was the best Christmas gift ever.
