Prayer for Tehran
Tehran is the capital of Iran. As such, this modern city boasts impressive government buildings, museums, and shopping centers. There is the typical smog, concrete, and traffic found in most every major city, yet the presence of over 800 parks provides a nice counterbalance. As we tour the metropolis of Tehran, let’s pray over the people here:
Dear Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Tehran. Throughout the city, draw people to you by the power of your Holy Spirit. Lord, we pray for unprecedented revival in Tehran. May people from all different backgrounds repent and turn to you, from the highest government officials to the beggars on the street corners. May your Holy Spirit sweep through the city and bring salvation to Tehran. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
We have reached the final destination of our summer road trip! Tomorrow, we depart Iran via Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran. Don’t forget your boarding pass!
