Leila
Recently, two teammates connected with a Kyrgyz woman named Leila, and during their second meeting she brought her roommate, Semira, another Kyrgyz woman. As it turns out, Semira is a believer and a strong person of peace! Neither Leila nor Semira speak Russian very well, so it would have been difficult to share the gospel with Leila alone. But Semira shared and shared about Jesus in Kyrgyz as we sat in awe. The two ladies prayed together in Kyrgyz, and it was amazing to watch Semira light up as she talked about her relationship with Jesus. It was a wonder to watch it all happen in their native language and culture—it was a glimpse into the Kingdom.
Though Leila did not accept the gospel after that conversation, she knew what she was rejecting, which isn’t always the case when there is a language barrier. Since Leila and Semira are roommates, we are praying there will be more conversations that lead Leila to Jesus.
She’s already led her daughter, mother, and half of her siblings to Jesus.
Semira experienced Jesus in an intimate way that drew her to be a follower of Jesus. She saw Jesus in a dream and had a vision to see all Kyrgyz people come to know Jesus. She’s already led her daughter, mother, and half of her siblings to Jesus. She’s going to join one of our training groups with local believers to help them keep creating disciples who reproduce. We are excited to see how the Lord continues to use Semira to reach the Kyrgyz of Moscow and beyond. May her vision to see all Kyrgyz come to Jesus come to pass!
Every believer is called to go
Whether to your neighbor across the street or to the nations across the world. At Live Dead, we exist to take the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard in the countries that have limited to no access to this good news. We seek to mobilize advocates, both individuals and churches, to pray, speak, give, and go for the sake of unreached people groups. How will you join us in this work?
