Aarav

The gym was thriving. New people were constantly joining, and the community of people doing life together was growing. Gym breakfasts and post-workout chai were a normal part of the week, creating a group of people who not only worked out together, but really saw one another as friends.

Then the pandemic put everything on pause. The gym had to close, and group breakfasts were halted. Everyone began to wonder what would happen to this tight community they shared with their gym friends.

Some coaches met to talk about how to help their community walk through this season of unknowns—a season full of heartbreak, loss, and great fear for many in the town. As believers, the coaches had a peace that surpassed the understanding of the current situation. While the future was unknown, the One in control of it all was known, and they could have hope in the midst of darkness. So, they decided to share “Encouragement Gains” with their gym friends through their group message. In these gains, they shared about the peace and hope available to all and how their faith in the Lord Jesus was helping them navigate these difficult times.

Each day, these gains were sent, and people in the community began to respond. After a few weeks, a new gym member named Aarav reached out to the coaches personally and asked for more information on who this Lord Jesus was and so began his journey of discovery of the One who was always in pursuit of his heart.

Fast forward the story to the end of 2020, and Aarav is now a part of the community of seekers, experiencing what it means to have hope, joy, and peace in the midst of times of chaos and uncertainty. Please join us in praying that Aarav would continue to open his heart to the invitation of Lord Jesus and continue this journey of discovery of his Creator.

Every believer is called to go

Whether to your neighbor across the street or to the nations across the world. At Live Dead, we exist to take the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard in the countries that have limited to no access to this good news. We seek to mobilize advocates, both individuals and churches, to pray, speak, give, and go for the sake of unreached people groups. How will you join us in this work?
