Filling the desolation of our hearts

The rain was good in Hardrock this year. Parts of the countryside, pale last year, have flushed green. The rugged beauty often stirs aching intercession in our hearts. Beneath the green the ground is still rock hard and deadly dry. The Christmas carol reminds us, “Let every heart prepare Him room.” God dwells in hearts, not beautiful beaches, sunsets, and mountains.

And this land is terribly void of His presence.

This is why we’ve come to share the good news about Jesus. He entered into the desolation of a virgin’s womb so that his body could be laid in the desolation of a rich man’s tomb then rise again to fill the desolation of our hearts so full of wounds.
