Of whom shall I be afraid?

A team member reports:
Today is a historical day here. Millions are taking to the streets to express their views. There is a sense of excitement and hope in the air as many anticipate drastic changes in the coming days. However, there are also tensions and clashes between the groups of differing opinions.

Meanwhile, we are safely in our apartment, living our normal lives, roast beef and potatoes in the crockpot. From our balcony, our streets are normal. We praise Jesus for His protection, even as we watch the clashes on the news.

Would you pray for this country? Please pray that the Lord will raise up Daniel’s and Nehemiah’s who will be influential and act with the wisdom of God. Please pray against chaos and clashes between the opposing groups.

Psalm 27 was a part of my Bible reading this morning. What perfect timing for these words! “The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?” Ps. 27:1
