Who are my mother, my brothers?
From the heart of a Live Dead team member:
We truly enjoy what we are doing with no regrets. We find joy interacting with people who have never heard the Word. However the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is not easy for us. We miss Christmas decorations, the crisp air of approaching winter, and the spirit of joy in the air.
Most of all we miss being with our family. We especially ache for the younger ones knowing we will never recapture these seasons together. We could not even Skype our children on Thanksgiving.
But this morning Isaiah 52:7 was just what I needed:
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation,…”
It put my thoughts in perspective. We are making many contacts. My wife has a budding friendship with a delightful young M*sl_m mother of two. I’ve had many conversations and a chance to share the “good news.” Those opportunities bring joy to the season.
Pray we recognize the growing family of the King as our true family.
