Forgiveness learns forgiveness
Innovative seed planting:
For our Arabic studies we are memorizing Scripture. Our assignment is to share these verses with someone in the majority. I was “practicing” 2 Cor. 5:17 with a secretary in the doctors office I was visiting. She helped me repeat in Arabic, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone and the new has come.” I think she had it memorized by the time we were done!
When I stumbled on the pronunciation, I showed her the verse in Arabic so she could read it for herself. She told me to come back and practice my verses more with her—which I intend to do! At the conclusion, she asked if I knew the meaning of her name. She told me her name, ‘S—h’, means forgiveness.
Please pray with me that these repeated words of life spoken to her and by her own lips will indeed result in forgiveness. Pray her forgiveness will be her namesake.
