Please pray for the families of those who died when a large ferry carrying an estimated 290 people including 31 children capsized Wednesday off the coast of Zanzibar. Reports estimate nearly 70 dead and more than a 100 missing. Numbers in these situations are often grossly underestimated because passengers are often not listed on the manifest. Strong winds and rough waves are complicating rescue efforts.

The greater tragedy is that I_l@m dominates the tropical island and former slavery stronghold. It’s very likely most of the victims never had an adequate Good News witness – ever.
