Maybe His Only Chance

Some friends and I met a young man from a mountainous republic. Within his republic, there are about forty different people groups, all with their own language and culture and all of whom are unreached and devoutly Muslim.

We had the joy of being the first to ever share the message of salvation with him! He responded:

“This is interesting, and it’s good for us to talk with people from other places to hear different things.”

This was amazing because nearly 100 percent of people from his republic fiercely defend their Islamic beliefs!

Allim was only in my city for a work trip and returned back home. His Russian wasn’t the best, so I looked for the Bible in his native language to text him some verses to help point him to the truth.

However, the Bible has not been translated into his language.

It’s staggering to realize that even today there are so many people groups who have yet to hear of the free gift of salvation in Christ, nor do they have access to it in their language.

“How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” (Rom. 10:14)

We may have been his only chance to hear the gospel. You might be someone else’s only chance to hear. Pray for Allim to put his faith in Jesus! Pray for translation efforts of the Bible. Pray for the enemy’s stronghold in this region to crumble and for people to be reconciled to their heavenly Father.
