During a recent class, a section of my lesson plan said: “Discuss a moment when you witnessed or performed an act of kindness.”
I heard the Lord say, “Go to the story of the Good Samaritan,” so I shared, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Then I heard the Lord tell me to write the verse on the board.
I recited it to the class and then talked about loving our neighbors as ourselves and that sometimes it’s hard. I even confessed that I can be selfish at times. I encouraged my class to be intentional, to do one act of kindness today. I’m so grateful for the Holy Spirit and His gentle guidance.
Pray today that our students will become more open to the Word of God and that they would come to know Jesus as Savior.
